Mr. Khalid Al-Naama, Director of the Research and Policy Department, representing the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), participated in the “Regional Girls Summit in the Arab Region” organized by the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in partnership with UNICEF Regional Office in the Middle East and North Africa, the UNFPA Regional Office in the Arab States Region and Plan International – Jordan Office Kingdom of Jordan. The Regional Summit aimed to urge Member States to increase and operationalize support for girls’ rights by participating in discussions with key stakeholders from representatives of Member States, UN agencies and international organizations.
The Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) and the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) have launched the OSRA research grant which is an annual research grant on Arab families and family policy related issues.
